The prices of unsubsidised RON95 petrol and diesel will fall by 15 sen a litre to RM4.27 and RM5.12 respectively, the finance ministry announced this evening.

RON97 will drop by 20 sen to RM4.70 a litre. The new prices will apply until Nov 11.

Subsidised fuel prices are unchanged. RON95 under the BUDI95 scheme stays at RM1.99 a litre, while diesel under the BUDI Diesel initiative remains at RM2.10 a litre.

Petrol under the subsidised petrol control system (SKPS) stays at RM2.05 a litre, and diesel under the subsidised diesel control system (SKDS) remains at RM2.15 a litre.

In a statement, the ministry said the federal government would continue to use subsidies to shield the public and businesses from global uncertainty. It added that the government expects to spend RM40 billion on fuel subsidies next year, as announced in Budget 2027, to help ease the rising cost of living.
