Pakatan Harapan (PH) aims to retain the Melaka seats it holds and win several more it sees as within reach in the 14 November state election, PH communications director Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said.

Speaking to reporters on 27 October, Fahmi said holding the existing seats was the coalition’s baseline and that its targets were realistic. He said several factors could swing the targeted seats, and that a change of government in the state was not impossible if its strategy was carried out well.

He said the PH presidential council met that evening to finalise election preparations, and was briefed on state-level readiness by Melaka PH chairman Adly Zahari and Melaka PKR acting chairman Adam Adli Abdul Halim.

PH’s candidates are continuing their groundwork and are expected to be ready by nomination day on 31 October.

The Information Department will run the main media centre for the election from 30 October to 14 November at Hotel Mudzaffar, Melaka International Trade Centre, Ayer Keroh.
